Have a day tour through the history, art and traditions of the old town and the island, with Michael, a local licensed tour guide. He lives on the island and works on Rhodes but also on neighbor islands of the Dodecanese, organizing tours for groups or individuals.

1. City tour 1(half day):

 The tour usually starts from your hotel, or directly from the archeological museum where your guide will wait for you. After some brief information about the options, the tour can start. First stop will be the hospital of the Knights of Saint John order, today the archeological museum. It offers a great opportunity to combine the ancient, the medieval and the ottoman history of the old town of Rhodes. A walk through the street of the knights will lead you to the impressive building of the Grand Masters Palace and its amazing collection of mosaic floors. After the Palace, there are many highlights to visit in this unique medieval town, like the moat, the massive walls or the Jewish quarter and its synagogue. Your licensed guide will introduce you to the history, culture and todays life of the locals.

 Price: 145 euros. (Duration is about 3 to 3,5 hours, entrances are not included The old town has cobbled streets. Please be sure to wear flat comfortable shoes).

2. City tour 1+2(half day):

  After completing the Tour 1 you have the option to continue by car and visit the harbor of Mandraki with the Italian style state buildings, the ruins of the antique Acropolis of Rhodes town and have a photo stop on the Monte Smith Hill for a breathtaking view over the town of Rhodes.

Price: 180 euros. ( total duration is about 4 to 4,5 hours, 1-4 persons).

3. Lindos tour (half day):

  Your qualified (licensed) guide will pick you  up from your hotel and by car you will visit the east side of the island. First stop will be a  photo stop at the Anthony Quinn bay and then you will visit the Monastery of the Lower Virgin Mary of Tsampika, on the way to Lindos, the most visited site of Rhodes. The church of Lindos in the village and the ruins of the Athena temple on the top of the hill will fascinate you. The village became worldwide very popular in 1961, after “the guns of Navarone” were filmed there. On your way back to the town you have the option to visit the Italian thermal baths of Kalithea from 1929.  

Price: 250 euros. (duration is about 5 to 5,5 hours, entrances are not included, 1-4 persons. The walk in Lindos will be along cobbled streets. Please be sure to wear flat comfortable shoes).

4. Island tour (full day):

  Your qualified (licensed) guide will pick you up from your hotel. After some brief information about the options and the stops you can have,  you will  visit  parts of the east and the west side of the island. Rhodes offers you the sandy east side, the green west side and the mountains in its middle. There are castles, monasteries, wine yards and antique sites for you to choose, for the stops.  

Price: 380 euros. (duration is about 7 to 8 hours, entrances and lunch are not included, 1-4 persons).

5. Symi Island tour (full day):

  Your qualified (licensed) guide will pick  you  up from your hotel in the morning to drive you to the harbor. With him, after a cruise of about 1-1,5 hour you will reach the famous sponge divers and fishermen island of Symi. First you  will visit the colorful town of Symi on the one side of the island and then  the historical monastery of Archangel Michael of Panormitis on the other side. You can choose to reach the second stop eather by bus that will drive you over the mountains of Symi, with an amazing view on the way, (about half an hour), or by ship (about one hour).  In the town of Symi, your guide will introduce you the history, the culture and the way of life of the locals. At the end, the ship will bring you back to the port of Rhodes.
