The Acropolis is on the top of the hill of Monte Smith. The view of the Aegean, the islands and Turkish coast is magnificent, especially at sunset and sunrise.
Visit the ancient Stadium and the marble theater ("Odeion") which often hosts, as it did in the past, musical and theatrical performances. The remains of the Temple of Apollo, God of the sun and protector of ancient Rhodes, stand a few meters away.
A complex of underground Nymph's sanctuaries ("Nymphaia") can be visited at the north side of the hill. You can also visit the Ottoman pavilion on the hillside over the sea and a Christian shrine in a cave facing East.
