KALI STRATA SYMI VILLAGE TO PORT
This is a fairly intense hill climb if done from the Port to the Village (bottom to top).
It involves around four hundred steps that connect Yialos (Symi Port) with the Village (Chorio). Very interesting, colourful houses and beautiful view.
ALTERNATIVELY, take a TAXI or a BUS from Yialos to Chorio, enjoy what Chorio has to offer, have a coffee and/or lunch, and then climb the steps of Kali Strata from the top to the Port. Click on the links for details.
Along the way one realizes the beauty of the traditional settlement of unique architecture with the two-storey houses, built next to each other, so as to form a “natural” wall.
Also, in several parts of the route, the view of the endless blue and the sea emerges between the mansions.
NOTE: You will need approximately 15 - 20 mimutes per way. Quite hot in the summer months.
