Built in the beginning of the 14th century, was destroyed during the second Ottoman siege (ca 1521). 
 
Next to the Gate of Our Lady, leading to the harbours, it is a gothic cathedral of the three-aisled basilica type. It features two arcades, created by four columns and pointed arches.
 
Today, partially restored, it is open to the public and, occasionally hosts musical events.
The restoration of the monument received an honorary distinction from EUROPA NOSTRA in 2006.
It is 150m away from the Synagogue and the Jewish museum.
 
It can be visited during one of your walks in the Old Town or on your way to the New Town along the coast.
